A Police Reservist's Mother's Prayer - Poem by Diana van den Berg

Dear God
Please keep these brave
men and women
who do their wonderful job
without payment
over and beyond
their day job
out of their love and caring
for the community
and their desire to serve,
and please,
especially,
take care of the one
who is
my beloved son.

Very nice. Your son must be proud of his mother, a poet, who prays for him in poetry. (Report) Reply
