A Politicians Life Poem by louis rams

every politician knows that you can become rich over night
if you turn a blind eye to what's wrong and what's right
they are told by the wealthy:
'' we do for you so you must do for us and in our dealings
you must put your trust '
the politician must create a bill for them, or push to get them
a government contract, so they will always get a kick back.
they are given stocks and bonds or stock info, so they know which way to go.
they are given travel and living expenses to where ever they want to go
hidden so nicely that no one will know.
every political party has some corrupt politicians who care only
for the almighty dollar, no matter how much you may scream and hollar
all monetary gains should be transparent and no political officer
should be given full retirement benefits after serving one or two
terms, but work like any other citizen until sixty five or older.
if the president of the U.S. can only serve a four year term
then why should a senator be allowed a six year term?
in our brains these questions should burn!
