O God, I thought you brought me here
The place isn’t fair to people dear
I cannot leave for now, I fear
Please change the hearts that own and steer
O God, the world’s too much for me
Berserk things happen all freely
A better world, I want to see
Do heal each heart of malady
O God, my strength is waning fast
I wish to better my own past
I feel as though in cage downcast
Some things I see turn me aghast
O God, I need your protection
Most live in dissatisfaction
Do send your angels for action
Drive out the devils with caution
O God, do make me much more wise
I want to free the souls off vice
May patients heed to good advice
I cannot bear cheating and lies
O God, come guide me, be my shield
The moneyed live with utter greed
To sin and vice, I cannot yield
I want to harvest in thine field
O God, do help me change this place
I cannot wear a mask for face
Do fortify my spiritual base
And keep me out of all disgrace
