A Relationship With You Poem by Randy McClave

A Relationship With You

I wanted a relationship with you,
But, you said, "no"! without a boo-hoo
I know that I could've treated you much better
So, I wrote you the proof in this letter.

I don't swear or get angry or ever cuss
I never had or would ever throw anyone under the bus
And I swear that I would proudly treat you like a lady
And never would I be dishonest or ever shady.
Unto you, I would never use or mistreat
And on you I would never runaround or cheat,
On you, I would never abuse or could ever hurt
And on you I would always be at your side never to desert.
I do not smoke or alcohol do I ever drink
With a clear mind and conscious I want to always think,
And every promise made unto you I would always keep
Never ever would I want you to weep.
I would want you always known to be at my side
My faith and my belief in you I could never or would ever hide,
For you I would would do almost anything
I would even happily give you a ring.

I wanted a relationship with you
But, you said, "no"! without a tear or a boo-hoo
So, I will not ever bother or ask you anymore
With a P.S this I will say, that my heart is tore.
