A Response To Memory Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

A Response To Memory

Rating: 5.0

Is there anything like conscience?
do we really believe in its presence?
it troubles me a lot when suddenly awakened?
as the future lay completely darkened

She may appear and suddenly ask
there is something like tea in flask
shake your memory and listen
what I have not to say even

You ditched me and left to good luck
you knew i will be badly struck
I did not prove as dame duck
I will bounce back and definitely look

I may not like to be lost in dreams
as it is burning body from with in with beams
I am not going to be a yes woman
yet it will be a lesson for man

Memory is hard to be pushed away
to be lost in oblivion is the only way
there is complete harmony in relation
as long as it has true revelation

How does it matter if you do not remember?
Who will under the agony and answer?
Have to open my heart and reveal?
my love was fake and not real

No one has time to show sympathy
I am struck with pain to feel self pity
it is unbearable and no where to show
I can bear no more as I have to leave and go

You treated me like commodity
the game played by you was dirty
I can not look back and lament
It may remain their as sad moment

It will not matter now even if you accept
love is not an idea or an ideal concept
it is beautifully conceived and realized
no one does a favor or gets obliged

I did not feel it as shame
I do not curse or blame
it may be sheer bad luck and fate
I will have to realize it soon or late

I stand in far corner and weep
It is impossible to remember and keep
All good comments and memory at heart
as it has shown the beginning of bad start

Is it not the divine spirit to feel?
are we going to tarnish it or kill?
it may not meet our expectation
still it stands as reality with good observation

Not all may find it with favor
All flowers may not offer flavor
We expect beautiful show with fragrance
it should boom with all colors at once

Kill the conscience, curb the wishes but not the trust
these are ingredients and possibly must
It is best way to reach and feel the pulse
no one has capability to push it and repulse
