A Rhombus Of Poetry Poem by Aniruddha Pathak

A Rhombus Of Poetry

Rating: 5.0

What poetry
Is, should someone ask me,
It's a four-sided rhombus
Not an omnibus.

One side is tradition,
One poetic grammar,
Third, to reflect and see
What makes good poesy,
Fourth imagination,
Originality.

Blindly followed, it's a copy,
Grammar's a manicured green pasture,
And should you reproduce nature,
A camera would do better.
Wild imagination falls flatter
Like a gossamer gauze
That never ever was.

So, poetry at once
To me seems four-sided balance.

Every element like fire, earth, sun water and air is indispensable to human existence. And so this 4 side of rhombus to a poetry. Fullmarks!
