A Rhythmic Chant Poem by leonard daranjo

A Rhythmic Chant

Rating: 5.0

O Beautiful bride of mystic darkness
your hair does scorn the night
When moon-light mingles with your tresses
O what visual delight
I feel mine eyes hath never seen
A beauty so enrapturing
A lustre gently transcending
The moon’s seraphic glow
But wait a while the moon recedes
And day fulfils its mother call
The sun is big and bright and fiery
And now your tresses turn to gold
Again mine eyes hath never seen
A beauty so enrapturing
A lustre gently transcending
The golden summer sun

Written when I was aroound 18 years

A painter and a poet was in your soul which had expressed itself so early! Those worshippers of materialism should bathe in these lines to cleanse their soul! - Raj Nandy 24 May 08
