A Salutation To Life Poem by leonard daranjo

A Salutation To Life

Lying in the cracks and canyons
Verdant valleys, mountain tops and fissures
Moving among the clouds
Entangled in rain forests
And the roots of the mangroves
Moving with the momentum of a river
Entering the ocean
Spraying clouds of mist
And salty droplets
On your quivering lips
Trying to comprehend the holistic
Rather than the fragmentary
This inner receptacle
This bottomless conduit
This poison chalice
Handed over to you
At birth
