A Ride To Nowhere Poem by Madhumita Ghosh

A Ride To Nowhere

Rating: 0.5

I did not hear you call
The alarm rang
The car beeped
While I slept
A thousand years' sleep
Waiting in my dream
To hear you call
The guard whistled
The signal was green
I lagged with my baggage
In my dream
Stuck in a snarl
Of useless trivialities
Not seeing you ride away
To our land of nowhere.
