I fell in love when I was young.
My world was all in bloom.
Nothing more could fill my heart
for my heart had no more room.

We were together for so long.
We thought there'd never be
a time when all we ever had
would end for you and me.

And then one day we traveled home
and silence filled the air.
We both did cry from the words we heard.
The words were hard to bear.

You were gone so fast and I was left
with so much agony.
Time passed slowly as years went by.
You became my memory.

And then a blessing came upon me
which I think you sent.
I met another someone who came
and made my heart content.

I found a second chance for love,
although a different kind.
But as much as I love this new one,
You still are in my mind.
