A Space Where He Stood Poem by Sylvia Lukeman

A Space Where He Stood

Rating: 3.5

There is a space
Where he stood
Mere hours ago.
He had filled it
With laughter and love

There is a space
By her side,
Now that he is gone
And the emptiness
Cannot be described.

The places
Where they walked
To enjoy each other
Will be her lit beacons
Forever and evermore.

They were together
Mere hours,
Mere hours ago,
Mere hours
only hours ago.

I came back to read this again... It is so heartfelt Sylvia! It brought both tears and a smile. To know and feel love like that is once in a lifetime. Kudos!
