A Splash Of Spring Poem by Marilyn Lott

A Splash Of Spring

Rating: 3.5

I don't think there is anything
That I look more forward to
Than a delicious splash of spring
Perhaps you feel that way too

Little tiny buds pop out
Spreading cheer upon the land
They have kept quiet all winter
And now can finally make a stand

Their colors are so lovely
Their fragrances so sweet
After the dreary skies of winter
They are such a treasured treat

The Iris, poppies, azaleas and
Rhododendrons overpower
Springtime is so perfect for
A refreshing afternoon shower

So get ready, my friend, to enjoy
What nature's about to bring
I know that I am ready for
A delicious splash of spring!
