A Star

Among millions stars
upon the midnight skies
I saw only one
magnificent in vibration
exquisite in color
shone with so much brilliance,
penetrated the deepest parts of my being
it touched me, it moved me
it gave me life
like never before
it showed me what the power of love
can truly do, can truly be
that one star one lonely night
will always remain
in my heart,
to this day when I gaze
into the mass of darkness
that star is the only one I see
the only one I feel
among so many.

Poem of the Day

poet William Butler Yeats

I MADE my song a coat
Covered with embroideries
Out of old mythologies
From heel to throat;
But the fools caught it,
Wore it in the world's eyes
