A Teardrop And A Dead Fly Poem by hassan dawut

A Teardrop And A Dead Fly

I turned the light on to prove my existence
Then reach out my head from the window
All black
Every place, every human looked the same
I instantly fell in love with the night

Now I'm in the sky
The earth is calling:
'Fall into my arms, and prove your existence! '
My heart trembles
And I spent one lifetime on the ledge
Finally, a teardrop falls

Is the color of loneliness orange?
Is the smell of loneliness foul?
A fly flies in and have Its dance
I kill it and throw it from the window
For Its purpose is not to accompany me

Oh, mortals
Have you ever wondered
about a drop of water
about a dead fly on the ground?
