A Tribute To Saberi Poem by shakil ahmed

A Tribute To Saberi

A Tribute to Saberi

The whole valley has become stunned
At your silent and peaceful demise
Among the pebbles you were like diamond,
All our stars and intellectuals surmise.

Your thoughts and mighty pen
Were sharper than knife
It roamed in every field
Without contention and strife.

When valley suffered in severe crisis
You came forward with your mighty pen
Sharing thoughts and extending suggestions
You stood beside the suffered men.

Many people queed in your parlor
Just to quench their thirst
People became thrilled and gratified
On seeing your knowledge and its out burst.

In the realm of Tagore and Nazrul
Your foot prints were found
And in many other verging land
Comfortably you walked around.

In this blank wasteland
You were like a glittering sun
Valley has become dark and cloudy
Because, forever you have gone.

You were one of the torch bearers
In the dark and gloomy night
You were our friend in deed
To Shaw us real light.

An Abul Hussain Saberi begets
After so many deaths
For a death of a man like saberi
People have to suffer its aftermaths.

You have soared in an eternal world
Leaving us alone to fumble
Like ignorant folks, in every step
We will stumble and stumble.

In your queer and eternal absence
We will be hollow forever and ever
We know it well that our dear sir
Will return here, never and never.

Your body will be perished
In the dust of your mound
But in the lines of immortal writings
Your living image will be found.

Shakil Ahmed.
