A Trick Trap Poem by Felix Emeka George

A Trick Trap

Everybody! !
they call loudly,
Fire! Fire!
And everybody scampers
Like harrow in helter-skelter,
Like the hen in murderous pondering.
In fatigueless stumbles and slumps
An end is put to their brain use

Hence jihadists and crusaders'
on horses
Ride farther inland
Waging war on the ignorant.
The ignorant by creed
We inherit a headache
by the killings in the name of this mid-east culture and custom,
To unconcerned drum beats.
They sing and laugh,
their trickery while playing death
