A True Love Tale Poem by Nishi Kumari

A True Love Tale

Rating: 5.0

Adorned he the wooden hovel with white orchids
and roses
As they were the favorite of his princess he awaited
Candles lit around at every crimson corner, their
flames so warm
Shining like the daffodils in the sunlight
The premises so propitious like pious unconditional
love of him
He dreams of her in his every breathe
The melody of the chimes precluded every cacophony
The fragrance of his eternal emotions enlightened
the air
Fresh like the wet clay on a rainy day
His princess perhaps was not so generous to admire
the true love
Lost she was in her dreams of a beautiful palace
Where gold coins roll down her feet like pebbles
less to count
Dubious was she in her own thoughts pondering
'Do broken promises bring a real curse? '
Dressed up she in a salmon veil, beautiful and ravish
Eloped she with a rich opulent ostentatious prince
Thundered the heart of the indigent lover
'why she didn't reach till now? Is she alright? '
Rushed he for his princess barefoot in the dark
His eyes drowned in tears when he saw the
chariot leaving
The ring fell down from his shivering hands
Cried he with his hearts out alone in the dismal
night...
