A Violin It Played Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

A Violin It Played

A violin.
A violin it played.

Great Master
stay the night
playing
open your
windows

The violin sound
from street to
street
will travel round

A violin!

And our City another Venice be
on waters!

This very night - in about 12 hours - I will hear Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto performed by the Minnesota Orchestra and Scottish violinist James Ehness. Your poem has prepared to listen with greater depth than usual to make the most of the experience of joy and meaning you celebrate here
