Dry brown earth cracked under him
As he stood and said goodbye
Bowed his head in silence
But a warrior does not cry
He lifted his hands to the opened skies
Body shook with anger
But a warrior does not cry
He did not bury her, that was not his way
But lifted her above mother earth
Freed her spirit to fly away
And offered up a prayer in his native tongue
Burned is dreams forever
Ashes sent to winds
The long journey of revenge would begin
Looked up to the clouds and said a last goodbye
Thundered across the desert
Yelling out a war cry
Man killed his brothers
Man stole his land
Took woman and children
Too many to take a stand
But war was far from over, they would grow stronger
And reclaim the land
Turn the earth back to her mother
What was taken by man.
