A World Of Pain Poem by Lexi Adkins

A World Of Pain

My body feels like it's crying,
My spirit feels the same.
The thing i hate about this world,
is all the freaking pain.

Pain from the people,
Pain from the things,
and Pain from damn near everything.

Do you know the feeling?
Do you know the sting?
Do you know what it's like to really have nothing?

No family or friends who truly care,
and all you have beside you is hollow, empty air.

The world is going dark now,
my body's shutting down.
and suddenly I hear a most peculiar sound.

My mother sobbing violently,
My father by her side.
Both of them blame themselves for the fact that I have died.

Maybe someone really cared, and I wasn't truly alone.
Perhaps this could have all been stopped if some of my paint had shown.
