Abandoned Desert Poem by Thomas Plotz

Abandoned Desert

Here till they weren't -

The house became so quiet, in the land, without a sound.

I dreamt, I could die here, and my body never found.

A house, so far off the traveled road, even the neighbors, doesn't stop.

I tossed my key to the center of the floor, and walked,

For the house was too quiet without you.
