Absolutionist Sun Poem by Ouch G. Hetrick

Absolutionist Sun

Rating: 5.0

My head was up towards
our sun that always controlled
the orbit of our rocky globe.

It is itself towering above
every sovereign nation. We are
only waiting its devastation,
so the Earth is left with no love.

I am injured, lost and confused.
The hugs and touches of man fool me.
I scream my yes. Rescue us.

So I looked. There is the sun,
eternally shifting gravity on me.
It is itself towering, so heavy,
on every sovereign nation.
We wish it to rescue us
from the star's devastation because
our lives are never steady.

Hear our screaming, ending and coalition.
Provide us our safety from this ugly mess.
The states unite. Their hopes are pending.

They couldn't look back from the sun,
aimlessly spurting rapid waves.

It is itself towering alone the sovereign nations,
not stopping its devastation.
The time of our rescue
is now too late.
