Aching Love Poem by Chelsea Hansford

Aching Love

Rating: 5.0

It’s not because I know where I am going,
It’s because I know the heartache from before,
And sometimes you can still make my knees crumble,
But I don’t want to love you anymore.

And it’s not because I’m running from a problem,
The problem will stay forever in my heart,
It’s because for you my soul is always calling,
And you can hear it less if we are far apart.

It seems like forever’s passed us by now,
And there’s nothing left for us to ever do,
Its time I broke free from this crushing prison,
And saw the world instead of only seeing you.

It’s awkward seeing you while I’m still crying,
To see what I’ve always wanted to call mine,
Our paths in life are forever crossing,
But they have never been destined to entwine.
