The house that sits across the street
That holds no hearts which beat, beat, beat
Bleeds shadows dark, that creep, and seep
Out the eyes that watch and weep, weep, weep;
And is such a sad and sullen sight
When ghostly lights blink on at night;
I watch and wait for the day
On which that shadow will prey, prey, prey
Upon my soul which lies in fear
For the shadow grows always near, near, near;
And is such a sad and sullen sight
That fills my heart with deathly fright;
I know not the hour, nor not how
But to stave off that day I vow, vow, vow
To never turn my eyes from
That house which leaves my heart so numb, numb, numb
And is such a sad and sullen sight
A place where darkness hides in light, light, light...
