Addicted To Pretensions Kept Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Addicted To Pretensions Kept

The battle against the proof of truth,
Has begun to prove...
A useless expense,
For the ones addicted to pretensions kept.
And frustrating it must be,
To see their deluded realities being diminished.

And...
Even in the midst of warning signs,
Deluders put up a brave and courageous struggle.
That is commendable,
In this effort to endeavor.
However...
Truth to rumor it as being weak and faked,
Seldom is seen fleeing and chased.
By those relying on rumors, innuendos and gossip.
Created by deceivers.
Living on lies and embellished lives.
Hoping truth will fear,
The appearance of hollow threats.
And from where they came to know them made.

Since truth to exist,
From the days myths were introduced.
As an alternate reality to idolize and worship.
Truth?
Has never presented itself as fictioned!
To distort its purpose or effective meaning.
Needing no interpretation to describe.
Or definition of it when activated.
