'Advent Of Ramzan' Poem by Syed Mohammed Madah

'Advent of Ramzan'
Now hath commenced month of high adoration.
Seem fair now the nights and days.
And angles descend to earth from heavens and elevated skys.
This is the month of generosity and magnanimity.
Treatment of every destitute is with piety.
Seen common now virtues of relent and humility.
Hath ceased in the righteous' heart every adversity.
Hearts enjoy the prowess of self-restrain,
And hath rubbed out all evil stains.
Better performance is the only motto, only lust;
For fasting is not merely a test of hunger and thirst.
We welcome this month with instinct upbeat,
Must repent over every sinful deed.

Delight attained on the fifteenth of this month.
The day of Imam Hassan's(a.s) birth.
This day is regarded as highly cheerful.
Dwellers of heavens are also delightful.
Named as Hassan(a.s) , named as Shabbar(a.s):
First grandson to Holy Prophet(PBUH) was born.
Yet again foes of Islam had mourned.
O my kith and kin, O my colleagues;
This soul congratulates you over this forth coming day.
When sheer ecstasy will welcome first ray of light,
And celebrations will last till the darkness of night.
