Adversary Of Man Poem by Justin Baird

Adversary Of Man

Born from chaos, black hellfire, and seven deadly sins
The beautiful angel fell, as if god had clipped his wings
Like Icarus he plunged, striken by his sinful pride
On that most fateful of days, the angel Helel died

The morning star that once, had light up Yahweh's sky
Was transformed and paid the price, for it was God he did defy
The fallen one he was, bringer of the dark and light to man
Ruler of Hell's domain, frozen sky, scorched sand

7 dreaded princes, that did serve him from his throne
The magnificent archangel, who forsaketh the crown of thorns
Far beyond the Malebolge, he rests upon his scorn
Now upon his head, sits the wretched crown of worms

This betrayer of mankind, you may already know
The traitorous dark serpent, who brought forth man's woe
Avatar of the end, Gehenna, Apocalypse.
Lucifer his name, the prince of Darkness.
