Aflame Poem by Simone Harriman

Aflame

Igniting an intense heat
He melts through her firewall

Cautiously his flames scorch
Her body for hot-tempered coals
And her little phoenix forecasters

Had her embers remembered
His bellows breathing on her fire?

Blazing eyes glaze over
Searing her smouldering depths

He must combust her flare
Rekindle her passion,
And return to singe and burn

But, no matter, whether or not I understand some PH poems, if the authors of them attract me with their seeming-sincerity and friendliness, LIKE YOU DO, I like the poet. bri : )

Simone, no wonder I 'had trouble with this one'! ! ! All previous commenters mention 'metaphor'; I don't even spell the word correctly with my first try. (cont.)

A hot extended metaphor for love. Brilliantly executed.
