After All These Years

Yellow sunshine sad
almost glad
almost...

I can feel you touching me
after all these years
I wonder how you are feeling now
I wonder where you are

Behind which star are you hiding
are we playing hide and seek

25 years ago gone, goodbye
Like a knife to my heart

But I bleed not-
long ago-
lost the last drop
a long time ago

No love like a lost love Thomas. Speaking as a kindred spirit.
This is a very poignant piece which sneaks in like a knife in the ribs.
I had to catch my breath once or twice.

Love is formidable yet the heart can succumb to sorrow when broken! Time will heal the wound, must move on!

Another punch to the heart poem that feels all too familiar. But written in your usual excellent way. Bravo!

Beautiful...poignant and precisely effective. Bittersweet how our hearts store memories...love letters in our souls.
