Against The Wind Poem by Nahid Kaiser

Against The Wind

Rating: 5.0

"Don't shout like men.."
I want to cry, cry, cry
"Don't walk like men.."
I want to fly, fly, fly
"Girls shouldn't contradict"
For the truth, speak I
"Girls shouldn't argue"
I will fight lie.
"Be a bit submissive, my child
" Like a pen, a mountain, I erect
"Be a bit shy, you wild!
" Why deceive? I speak straight
I will never play pet to a man nor décor any doll's house
I will shine like a sun and be a light-house.
