Ahinsa Parmo Dharama* Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Ahinsa Parmo Dharama*

Rating: 5.0

Ahinsa is Non violence
Parmo is super or best
Dharma is religion

Dharma or religion stands the test
How the followers perform it as best?
None comes on the way
Only right things are adopted or taken away

Lord Mahavira* gave message
About 2500 B.C in olden days
He stood for self attainment
For entire humanity for refinement

Gandhiji* followed it with earnest
Martin Luther Kind did his best
Lord Jesus too spread the message
That is why their names are written on pages

How relevant is their message?
Can any one think of having mileage?
Force mighty empire to surrender power
And give power to people with best offer

It has honest appeal
It may look relevant and real
What can dictator do if people are against?
Nothing but only peaceful resistance and interest

Attainment of salvation is not bad
But if message goes unread that is sad thing
Why can not we stop bloodshed?
Where is it going to take us or to lead?

King Ashoka* killed millions in battle front
Epic Mahabharta* speaks of many deaths for no want
World wars too speak of its hollowness
Non violence is the only means available to face
