Alcoholic Heart Poem by Udaya R. Tennakoon

Alcoholic Heart

Clinking glasses up to the high
Eyes wear the friendship
Mouths begin to spit words and to smile
On the table noise knocks at each other
While empting the bottle passing from hand to hand

Hidden covered hate and revenge inside the heart
Finds the key to open the door
When the border is broken
Blood changed words come out
Poisonous teeth inside mouth enrage

Dialogue turns to contradict
Beyond the words weapon gets ready
Depending on the weaker and stronger
And the struggle of the peace makers
Drunkenness dilutes or becomes warmer

Usually used to say got drunk
Just forget and forgive
But the real human comes out
Through the path of alcoholic heart
To play the theater from the dressing room

There are nine kinds of chemicals that make one to be the addicts; nicotine, alcohol, hallucinatory and cocaine are a few of them. The moment a person starts to take these chemicals in the form of vape, liquid and recreational salad, it starts to affect the important chemical process of our vulnerable brain. Do not start smoking and drinking; these blue prints will be in our DNA and pass on to generation after generation to create new addicts, if the parents have these reckless habits..

I have thought that an alcoholic speaks the truth, hence they come out of the theatrical real world to the emotional platform to blabber out of stupor what bother their heart... Anyway, Udaya, I appreciate your poem and thank you for sharing your thought here..
