Alexis Poem by Tiff Murphy

Alexis

Even though I never held you,
It doesn’t mean I never felt you,
Even though I never saw you,
It doesn’t mean I never loved you,
Even though I never heard you,
It doesn’t mean I never listened,
Even though I may never see you walk,
It doesn’t mean that I didn’t want to,
Even though I never kissed away the pain,
It doesn’t mean that I didn’t care,
Even though I never saw you fall inlove,
It doesn’t mean that didn’t fall inlove with you,
To the very first and last flutter in my stomach,
To the breath you never took,
To the first picture of you on that screen,
I’ve loved you,
Even though your not here,
I feel you,
Imagine your smile and laugh,
I picture your eyes so bright and young,
Without the misery and heartache that this world has to offer,
I’m so glad I had you but sad knowing that your gone,
But your never far from my mind and when the time comes even though we may seem to be strangers,
Just know this,
I will always find you and my heart already knows you
Baby girl I can’t wait to meet you,
Love always your mommy.
