Alive Poem by Paulina Varela

Alive

Rating: 5.0

Woke up in a morgue today
Dont even know the date
Whats with all this noise?
Why does the pain scream out loud?
My eyes are Blank
Emotions paralyzed
Fresh out of Expressions
Where is the heart left sinking?
Swollen shut
Throbs Break in
Lips sewn silent
I cant scream, you've blinded me
My eyes are covered with sores
Someone get me out of here
Im still Alive
I want my Life!
It hurts, too quite
No sound or am i deaf?
This pain is metallic, I taste it on my toungue
Pulling the seams apart
I look at the world

Real SPOOKY poem, some have woken up at the morgue in real life.

A macabre theme, but optimistic on the whole methinks. This is ballsy, graphic and feisty. The images challenge the reader. The poem is strong and tightly paced. Love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
