All Alone Poem by Jason Mauck

All Alone

Here I sit, I'm all alone,
My heart is gone, she is not home.
Then in the house a single light,
Is shining through the empty night.
Up to the door I charge in,
Knowing well how to commit sin.
Running upstairs to her room,
Where the light is bright as noon.
When i enter what do I see?
Another man standing before me.
As my heart then breaks in two,
I know what I must do.
Praying to God for the will,
With one quick slash I make the kill.
As I look at her with rage in my eyes,
She does something to my surprise.
she lunges at me and takes my knife,
And quickly goes and ends her life.
As I try to contemplate,
My mind doing a double take,
Then I slowly realize,
My love has died before my eyes.

This one hurts. The last line packs a punch.
