Tirupathi Chandrupatla

All Alone

Everyone surrounds
When there's wealth around
Like flies gather
On a stick of candy
And in adversity
There's none
Just at a time
When support's needed
It's not there
Things need to be tackled
Alone
All alone.

A green leaf gets
Nourishment from the sun
When it's on the tree
A fallen leaf
Dries up brown
Under the sun
Support gone
Man's like
A fallen leaf
Drifting with wind.

Alone
All alone
Decisions must be made.

Alone
All alone
Strength must be gained.

Alone
All alone
One must fight and win.

Nothing's straightforward
Fall's easy
Rise's tough
Determination
Confidence
Hard work
Iron will
And faith
One must gather
And take a step forward.

Falling from the tree of life is easy, it's the difficulties that come upon you that
set you apart from others. We must catch the strength of the wind to survive
this life alone. Love the imagery in your poem and the indisputable truth of your
words. Thank you for sharing. RoseAnn (Report) Reply

You know well the art of saying in simple words something very deep...whatever is said here is all true! (Report) Reply

A beautiful poem and the message is loud and clear! This is the naked truth of life.... All alone we have to face trials when they confront! ! (Report) Reply

This is a very inspiring write. Nobody wants you when you are down
and out. That is when we find out who our real friends are. When you
are up everybody is up, when you are down nobody knows you are there.

Poem of the Day

poet Pablo Neruda

I want you to know
one thing.

You know how this is:
if I look
at the crystal moon, at the red branch
of the slow autumn at my window,
if I touch
