All Of You Are All Alike Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

All Of You Are All Alike

Give to me more!

'More?
Of what? '

That!
That which you gave before.

'Before? '

Before.
When then I was convinced,
Your eyes full and bright...
With alluring,
Virgin innocence.
Had bloomed in urgent need,
For someone like me...
To gently pluck,
Your untouched stem...
From its hold onto a vine.
Wishing to unleash,
Your craving for passion.

Only to find I did,
Your stem had been plucked...
By several travelers.
Passing through,
Your imagined attached patch.

'Imagined? '

Yes.
I imagined that.
Only to discover,
Wide inside it was.
I found myself lost.
Feeling around.
As if to crawl through a tunnel.
Unable to touch the walls.

Give me more.
More to imagine.
Than the reality given,
You give now...
To my awakening heart,
Now to know and realize.
Your virgin look,
Seductive as it is.
Will never be able,
To recapture that delight.
Of discovering alone,
The beauty it is...
Pioneering into a tunnel,
For the first time.

'What to me,
Are you saying.
Widen my narrow eyes.'

Oh...?
Your eye is not that narrow.

Eyes, eyes.
I said eyes.'

I heard that.
But...
It is your stem,
I thought still attached.
Had been detached,
To attach with glue...
Several times.

'Glue?
What glue? '

Whatever it was,
Inside the walls of your stem...
I was unable to feel.

'Where are you going? '

Away.
To imagine myself being,
The first traveler...
Given passage,
Through your blooming...
Awaiting to be plucked patch!

'I don't understand you! '

Did you hear,
The whimpering groans...
Escalating into moans?

'No.'

That's how wide,
Your blooming had become.
And I got lost.
Within my own imagination.
And nothing to feel,
I was wanted enough...
To keep me inside.
That's why you heard nothing,
But my thanking you...
For the vision!

'All of you,
Are all alike.'

All of us?
Not what I just experienced!
