All Poets, The Way We Are Poem by Sandra Feldman

All Poets, The Way We Are

Poets feel and understand so many Things,
So many Mysteries, as they write,
Delving into the Sands of Past, Present and Future,
Using their hourglass of words,
From whither comes their stunning light.

That is why, for me a Poet's words are sacred,
Better than those of a priest or any religion,
For a Poet, even if he should try,
Cannot hide behind a lie,
Writing Feelings, tells you why.

Yes, for some reason, I sometimes trust the words of Dickenson or Bronte over the words of even some of the most prestigious scholars. They speak the reflections of their soul. And a reflection never lies. :) Hey, check out my newest poem called The Dreadful Truth. I think you'd like it.

So totally true! Love the lines: For a Poet, even if he should try, can not hide behind a lie, Writing feelings, tells you why. Amazing understanding of the poet's mind. With emotion and feeling a poet stands stark naked to the world in his poetry, baring it all from his heart through the words of his pen. Love it! ! RoseAnn
