All The Queens Jewels Poem by Mahlubandile Phillips

All The Queens Jewels

They sit laying beside her bed
waiting in the draws of chest
patiently for her neck

her majesty wakes and graces
the day
the palace whips troops of guards
whom see her jewels aren't wondering
in mens darkest attempt

plotting in shadow's while the queen's
asleep in dream's of victory
her vanguard yawn in nights under
the stars, nature running it's course

through the shadows men take
her jewels, a tiara shines her necklaces
bling in need of help as the take off to
another land
a land of greed and evil

as morning arises the queen's breaks
a scream, echoing through the world's
mouth, a break in at the palace at night
shadows rejoice in wealth while her majesty
greifs left only a broken piece of jewel
her heart an heirloom work her jewels.
