Almost A Decade Poem by Rimni chakravarty

Almost A Decade

Rating: 5.0

It is almost a decade
Dad has almost gone a fade
Away from all who admired him
Flocked around to fulfill many a dream
Dad loved philanthropy
It was his philosophy
To see god in all
Before he gets his clarion call
Up from the sky
Dad wanted to fly
As does a bird or a kite
Dad has gone far way in a long flight
He will never return
His ashes I worshiped in the earthen urn
Before I besmeared in the river
Daddy crossed the bar
It is almost a decade
Mom and me miss our family head
Daddy, i have a message for you
Be happy in the blue
Where you reside
Enjoy your ride
Mom and I will always remember you
And seek you in the blue

One day we will also join you
Yes wait for us true.

Its a beautiful ode to the most loved person in a world, Papa... It is almost a decade Dad has almost gone a fade Away from all who admired him Flocked around to fulfill many a dream... Up from the sky Dad wanted to fly As does a bird or a kite Dad has gone far way in a long flight He will never return You have given a live picture of what papa meant to you. His ashes I worshiped in the earthen urn Before I besmeared in the river Daddy crossed the bar It is almost a decade The sad demise of Papa has not disheartened you, this is the solace..Try to reach up to the mark and keep it high..Your strong personality features in the lines below. Be happy in the blue Where you reside Enjoy your ride Mom and I will always remember you And seek you in the blue Nice poem. Thanks for sharing your sorrows with parent less children like us.

You have made us recall our father, his warmth and his protective presence. He left us two decades back but he is still with us, right in our hearts. Thanks.
