You don't have to say a word
You don't have to answer my questions

All that you dare not speak
Is all that I envision

For my heart is your mind
And your mind within my heart

For all that is not spoken
Will soon tear us apart

I have given my soul
I have spoken my peace

You have given my love
with respect
without peace

My mind is confused
It never seems to cease

Taking a step back
looking at what has come to be

You and I
Me and You
Together as one
yet still
Alone in the dark
Our hearts
never
Beating as one
