Along The Way Poem by John Zeller

Along The Way

Rating: 4.5

Take a little sunshine and hold it in your hands
Find someone not smiling and show them that they can
Let them hold your sunshine to brighten up their day
There’s enough sunshine for everyone to find along the way.

Try to catch a rainbow before the sun goes down
Try to find the end that reaches the golden ground
What you'll find are colors to help you through your day
There are rainbows for everyone to find along the way

Let’s plant a flower while the sun is on the rise
We'll water it aplenty and watch it grow before our eyes
When our flower is tall and blooming throughout the day
We will plant another flower to find along the way

Let’s plant an apple tree that reaches towards the sky
When autumn comes we'll harvest a great big apple pie
We'll bake it with cinnamon and raisins, it’s bound to take all day
Then we'll have some apple pie to share along the way

Let’s find a friend to walk with hand in hand
We'll guide each other safely across this beautiful land
We'll share our dreams with each other at the end of the day
So we'll have each other tomorrow to walk along the way

Wow! John you just preached kindness is poetic language. Reminds me of Michael Jackson's Make it a better place. Thanks for sharing with me. Please review my poem 'Ultimate Value'
