And I don't hear from anybody
and nobody hears from me
quiet desperation taking form
I alone on the sea

self centered is my ocean
surrounded by nothing but me
suicide a romantic notion
I alone on the sea

waves they are as small as freedom
towering hundreds of feet above me
me, I'm my own perfect season
I alone on the sea

drifting along in the gulf stream
a bottle, a message to me
return to sender the note said
I alone on the sea

the sun never rises or sets
the tides choose darkness for me
my world spins with lonely regrets
I alone am the sea
