Always A Poet Poem by leonard daranjo

Always A Poet

Rating: 4.9

He dips his brush
Into a palette of luminescence
And paints shades
You can only feel but never see
His images – sometimes diaphanous
Sometimes vibrant
Are sewn together
And spun into a web
Of colourful and melodic vibration
His words curl and dance about
On quivering beams of light
Expression is born out of wordlessness
And music is born out of silence
The concrete melts into the abstract
And the tangible becomes intangible
He challenges the spirit, revivifies
And blows into it
A fresh breath of consciousness
The gentle, yet compelling wind
That blows across the landscape
Carries with it
A freshness
From the innermost reaches of a world outside ours
He does indeed astonish the Gods
Here is a man who –
Whether he writes in broken lines
Or prose –
Is always a poet

What a great philosophical poem! Greek Heraclitus first spoke of flux and change! This has been beautifully rendered in your lines concrete melting into abstract and abstract into concrete! 20/10! -Raj Nandy

'We are the miracles that God made To taste the bitter fruit of Time. We are precious. And one day our suffering Will turn into the wonders of earth.' (from 'An African Elegy') ………………….thank you for making me aware of this great African author, Your lines are full of spiritual sensuality, touching the heart, Expression is born out of wordlessness And music is born out of silence…..loved this paradox, its so true, all is communicated in silence with no words, and this is real poetry, The concrete melts into the abstract And the tangible becomes intangible ……..I am reading this for the first time and I too wrote something same in my “Poet’s Poetry” The abstract becoming concrete and the concrete abstract; Thus matter converted to flux…. I truly identify with every expression here…..great views... **Abha**
