Always near

It was cold night
I was upset and not feeling right
The Moon* had just appeared
I thought a little and got feared

"Her light" I call it as Chandni*
Was for all and free
Giving same cool effect
In fact inviting to act

Who will plead ignorance?
If see moon at once
One has to appreciate
And heartily relate

She has her charm
To make you feel warm
She has been blessed
And get missed

So I disclaim
And name
Her as seen always very near
And smile at an ease to her

*Chandni…Moon's light
*Moon…Chand

Poem of the Day

poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

I heard the bells on Christmas day
Their old familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet the words repeat
Of peace on earth, good will to men.
