I climb the mountain to be closer to you
On my journey up I remember every detail of your face
every time you smiled
The sound of your laugh
The times you held me when I cried
The sound of your voice when you told me everything was alright
The softness of your touch
The pureness of your soul
The sound of your heart beat
A single tear begins to stream down my cheek
I can feel your lips on my forehead
As you catch my tear in the palm
I knew it was time to let you go
The memories will always remain
