Am I Insane? – Probably. Poem by Robert Goltz

Am I Insane? – Probably.

Rating: 5.0

My mind has gone crazy, and there is no calming.
Downtown shootings and overseas bombings.
Homeland destruction and the terrorist expansion,
Drug money funding dictator’s mansions.
Jail time for victims, accepting shame,
If I’m insane, I’m not sure who to blame.
Corrupt politicians, a government of fraud,
Talking heads that we are forced to applaud.
Addicts turn into dreamers, morality decays,
These new standards… they’re here to stay.
Born of hate, and bred to die,
Children born of desolation, left to cry.
Challenge the institution, break all the rules,
Destruction is global, insanity its tool.
