I hear about your troubles.
You tell me everyday.
You say you're going under.
I'm not sure what to say.
I'd like to help you out of this.
I'd offer you my hand.
I just feel like I'm adding to
your weight while in quicksand.
You're old enough to realize
you have to really work.
You have to learn the hard way.
I sound like such a jerk.
Why do you keep getting here?
When will you ever learn?
You have to stay on top of things
and then get what you earn.
It's hard, oh yeah, I know it.
Believe me when I say
'I struggle to keep life on track
each and every day.'
I know that you can do it.
You've gotten through much worse.
I just don't think it helps you
when I reach into my purse.
You'll end up so much stronger.
I promise this is true.
I'm here if you should need me.
I just don't know what to do.
Mary, it's cool to have you back. This is a cool poem, just like the rest of your poems.
I liked this a lot. It reminds me of speaking to my almost 15 year old. Good poem!
Excellent poem, Mary. Please add a 'd' to suppose... Thanks H
From the heart and very well expressed - another good one. avr
I've come to you via The Doc's Earth Angels - and I am glad I did... I imagine that you also must be a big doer of ARK works.... now that's helpful! ! ! Thank you
How well you describe that fine line that we walk between wanting to be there for our loved ones, both wanting to do too much and trying not to do everything and not knowing which to do. As usual, you hit the nail right on the head.
If we are there for someone and really love them with an open heart.(Unconditionally) . Then we offer them everything that they need. But maybe not everything that they want. Choices, choices, which ones to make. Having to learn answer sometimes along the way. Your A Star! Sometimes even when we don't realise it.We can be shining at our greatest. Love Duncan
you used good word usage to convey your feelings. this sounds like me and my feelings with my friends. love it 4 stars.
