AN APPLE A DAY!
When an apple fell on my head, -
‘That’s no big deal’, people said!
But when it fell with its downward
motion,
It made Newton discover the Laws of
Gravitation!
In the Garden of Eden they had roamed,
Happily with loving bonded ties;
And Eve was the apple of Adam’s eyes!
That same old apple with which Eve did
tempt,
Resulted in the fall of man, and God’s
contempt!
That forbidden fruit whose eating brought
sorrow our way,
And paved the path for Satan’s earthly
sway!
Some say that this apple in the Book of
Genesis,
Was merely an allegory for sex!
We have multiplied like rabbits without
inhibition,
And this uncontrolled population explosion,
Has compounded our suffering and miseries, -
About which poor Adam had no notion!
I am not sure what would be our ultimate
fate,
But my Dietician friend as on date, -
Advices me to eat an apple every day,
To keep my family doctor away! !
