An Encounter Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

An Encounter

An encounter

Once, a mink saw puppy,
So, chatted, kept talking:
"Are we same family? "

The mink looked eagerly,
Puppy said: "It could be! "

In their looks, they differed,
Both feelings were bitter!

Dog owner could hear:
"Both of us are in chains,
You with leash, I with cage! "

Mink owner pulled the tail,
Tightened leash, dog owner!

The two sang in tune:
"Neither is immune,
From man, this cruel! "

"I, chicken, lamb, cattle
Are the poorest victims,
You enjoy partially…"
Dog listened carefully!

"They kill some for flesh,
Some for hide and fashion,
Many birds for feathers! "
Heard puppy and nodded.

"Go around, defecate, "
Said the mink in laughter:
"Give the man what deserves,
Let them bow, hand-collect…"

Puppy looked for goodbye,
Looked at mink and cried:
"Your skin they clean,
Then after wash, bleach,
Then, in church, they preach! "

Amusing poem, satyrically presented, reads like a fable but deepest created! My congrats for this gorgeous excellent poem about animals
